New Formula One app submitted to Apple.

UPDATE:
After an intial rejection from Apple, we resubmitted it on the 2nd March and it got approved last night - 3rd! Less than 48 hrs! Well done Apple - we are really liking the faster review process that has been in place since the New Year :)

(25 Feb) After lots of hard work we have finally submitted our latest app to Apple. It is an app for any fan of F1, called Pit Pass 2010. The app is jam packed with masses of information, news, photos, videos, interactive maps - the lot. The app is due for release on the 5th March, keep an eye on the site for news as it comes.

App Review times improved a great deal lately.

We just launched a new app working with the guys at ShakeAway, the award winning MilkShake retailers. One thing we have noticed in 2010 is that the time it takes for the apps to be reviewed has improved a great deal since last year. The app took about 4 days to be accepted, then we had to pull it for a quick bug fix and resubmit. The app was resubmitted in the afternoon and released onto the app store the following night! That is just over 24hrs!
I have read rumors that this may be something to do with the rumoured tablet computer that Apple may release. If the reviews take less time, it will allow us devs to get going and change / upgrade / amend / redesign our apps super quick so we can get them working on the new tablet. I do have a worry that all the crap devs out there that are currently overloading the app store with useless apps will also jump on this new platform. We will be interested to see what Apple will do to address this - if it ever does. We really hope that this is the way things will continue as this used to be something that really held projects up in the past. Good work Apple!

Haynes app featured in Which? magazine!

Was pleased to get a package from the postman this morning that contained the upcoming January edition of Which? Computing magazine. Turning to the review section on page 40... what was there? A lovely little highlight for our Haynes app!

Our new redesigned website launched!

Today we have launched our new redesigned website! It is now fair cleaner and will hopefully allow you all to view with greater ease, information about our company and the apps that we make.

I was very pleased to see this morning, when I looked at the featured apps area of the App Store on my iPhone that our latest app for Haynes Publishing was there! It is also on the App Store homepage within iTunes.

Let's hope that will help the download figures, it will be interesting to see the affect.
